The Winter Event (2025) is an event in Adopt Me! that began on December 5, 2025, and ended on January 5, 2026. Along with it came changes to the entire Adoption Island map, such as the ground being covered in snow, the water surrounding the center of the island being frozen, a large Christmas tree containing the Bah Humbug minigame queue appearing behind the Nursery, and several temporary buildings appearing. Some of the event's purchasable items were accessible through a Winter Shop portal next to the Nursery, while others were scattered around the map inside of the temporary areas and buildings. NPCs Mayor Amanda, Billy, and Speedy introduced players to the event.
Players could earn
Gingerbread through event activities, and use it to purchase new pets and other items over the course of the event. For the final three days of the event,
Gingerbread rewards from event activities were increased by 20%. Players could also trade in
550 for
5,000 by talking to Billy three times every real-life day. When the event ended, a wagon carrying all of the purchasable items except the Yarn Beanie was released until January 9, 2026, allowing players to spend any leftover
Gingerbread.

Activities[]
Ice Skating[]
Starting from week one,
Gingerbread appeared around the frozen lake every in-game day. As players skated, they could collect the gingerbread shapes, which disappeared when collected. Each gingerbread shape collected was worth
12. There were also penguins that moved around on the ice and slowed the player down if bumped into. By collecting all 160 gingerbread shapes, players could receive a maximum of
1,920 every in-game day. Players could also start timed races by interacting with Speedy. For completing a race for the first time, players received
500.
Pets occasionally received the "Ice Skating" ailment, which required skating on the frozen lake for a period of time. Once the ailment was completed, the player was rewarded with
15 and
100.
Choo Choo Train[]
Starting from week one, pets could receive the "Choo Choo Train!" ailment, which required riding in a car of the train circling Adoption Island for a period of time. Once the ailment was completed, the player was rewarded with
15 and
100.
Every 10 minutes,
Gingerbread emerged from the chimney of the train. Players that were sitting in the train cars passively earned
50 every few seconds during this time, up to a maximum of
1,000.
Bah Humbug[]
Starting from week one, the Bah Humbug minigame queue could be accessed inside the trunk of the Christmas tree behind the Nursery. In this 2D platformer-style minigame, players were tasked with defeating as many Humbugs as possible, which arrived in three waves that lasted for 60 seconds each. Humbugs had three hearts of health, and players could use the baseball bat provided to them to drain one heart of it every time they landed a hit on a Humbug. To reach some Humbugs, players had to traverse across scattered platforms and jump on the purple mushrooms to be boosted up into the air. Hitting a Humbug gave players a small boost in the air, preventing them from immediately falling and allowing them to attempt to land more hits. The amount of
Gingerbread earned from this minigame depended on how much damage a player did to Humbugs, how many they eliminated, and how many hits they managed to land without touching the ground. The maximum reward that could be earned was
5,000. There was also a 12.5% chance of receiving a Yarn Beanie food item from this minigame.
Christmas Spirit Tasks[]
Starting from week one, players could earn the Christmas Pudding House by completing 15 pet needs. After they earned the house, they were tasked with completing 435 more pet needs to unlock the Tree Sasquatch and the final Christmas Pudding House exterior decorations. As they reached milestones of needs completed, the exterior of their Christmas Pudding House gained decorations. Their progress was tracked by the Spirit Meter in front of their house and the Task Board. Once all of the rewards had been received, the quests restarted, allowing players to earn the Christmas Pudding House and Tree Sasquatch again. Listed below are the milestones and rewards that they gave:
- Complete 15 pet needs: Unlocked the Christmas Pudding House.
- Complete 45 total pet needs: Added white icing to the tops of the windows and door of the house.
- Complete 105 total pet needs: Added red and white candy cane decorations that line the front of the house.
- Complete 165 total pet needs: Added green garlands, yellow lights, and red bows to the door and windows of the house. The chimney gained a red bow, and the green bush next to the mailbox gained yellow lights.
- Complete 225 total pet needs: Added red and yellow light strands that wrap around the house and the greenery at its base.
- Complete 300 total pet needs: Added a snow-covered tree decorated with yellow lights to the left and right sides of the house.
- Complete 375 total pet needs: Added a snowman decoration to one side of the house, and a red sleigh decoration to the other side.
- Complete 450 total pet needs: Added a blue aura to the top of the house and rewarded the Tree Sasquatch.
Sleighball[]
Starting from week two, players could access the Sleighball minigame at the queue located next to the Pizza Shop. Players were split in two teams: Red team and Green team. Players needed to pick up presents and bring them back to their village, but players from the opposite team could steal presents from them. They could also pick up speed boosts to go faster, as well as extra
Gingerbread. The maximum reward that could be earned from this minigame was
5,000. There was also a 12.5% chance of receiving a Yarn Beanie food item from this minigame.
Snowball Pug Taming[]
Starting from week two, Snowball Pugs spawned in a taming area behind the Pizza Shop every two in-game days, and remained there until night arrived. When using a Yarn Beanie food item to tame one, there was a skill check minigame. In the minigame there was a Yarn Beanie sliding from left to right, and a Snowball Pug head in the middle. If the player managed to time their Yarn Beanie throw accurately by landing on the head, they gained 10% taming progress. Missing the head resulted in them gaining 5% taming progress. Only one Yarn Beanie could be used during each spawn period. Once the player reached 100% taming progress, they received a Snowball Pug and a Yarn Beanie pet accessory.
Starry Bounce[]
Starting from week three, the Starry Bounce minigame became available near Santa's Workshop. During the minigame, stars spawned in three stages: blue, purple, and gold. Blue stars began on the ground while the others floated. Each time a star was touched by a player, it advanced one stage, changing from blue to purple and from purple to gold. When a gold star was touched, it was collected and added to the tree as a decoration. Pets brought into the minigame earned bonus XP for each star they helped catch. There was also a 12.5% chance of receiving a Yarn Beanie food item from this minigame.
New Year Disco![]
Starting from week four, pets could receive the "New Year Disco!" ailment, which required visiting the Disco Dome next to Green Groceries for a period of time. Once the ailment was completed, the player was rewarded with
20 and
100.

Trivia[]
- The Humbug Attack Poster was removed from the Winter Shop on December 6, 2025 over concerns that the artwork was generated by AI. It was later removed from all player houses and inventories on December 9, 2025, and those who had purchased it were refunded.
