Overview

Pets became available in the long-awaited 'Pets' update of June 2019. There was a pets section in the backpack for a long time prior to this update.

Having a pet gives you similar gameplay to adopting a baby, as you take care of your pets by fulfilling the same needs that the babies have.

As of July 5th, 2019, a new Safari Egg and 7 new safari pets were added to the game.

Eggs

When you first enter the nursery, you get a free Starter Egg. In addition, some players have pink eggs/blue eggs inside their backpack. The pink egg came from being in the game when the countdown for the pet update went off. The blue egg came from receiving a Quiet Egg (Legendary) from Eggburt before the update had been released.

When buying eggs, you can choose from either a Cracked Egg, a Pet Egg, a Safari Egg, or a Royal Egg when buying eggs at the nursery. A Cracked Egg has the lowest chance of getting a legendary unicorn or dragon, and a Royal Egg has the highest chance.

You can purchase the 'Hatch Egg Now' for 45 Robux per egg, or you can do the egg's needs until it is ready to hatch.

Types of Pets

Like the gifts from Santa's display, there are 5 types of pets: common, uncommon, rare, ultra-rare, and legendary. What kind of pet you get is mostly dependent on chance; the more expensive eggs have a greater chance of hatching you rarer pets, or even a legendary. There are currently 27 total pets you can hatch.

You only can get Safari pets from the Safari Eggs.

***Can only be obtained from a special egg. The blue dog can only be hatched from a blue egg, and the pink cat can only be hatched from a pink egg.

Ages & Tricks

Once your egg hatches, you can continue fulfilling its needs to cause it to age up. Each stage of your pet's life offers new tricks.

Other Features

Pets can be made permanently rideable if they are given a Ride-a-pet Potion. This Ride-a-pet potion is available for 150 Robux, it can be bought through the 'shop' menu or inside the Pet Shop. You must buy a potion for every single pet that you want to make permanently rideable.

As of July 13th, 2019, it is possible to get neon pets. In order to do so, you must place 4 full-grown pets of the same type into the slots in the newly added cave, and they will combine to create 1 neon pet. All pets can be made neon.
