The Dog is one of the two common pets in Adopt Me! that players can hatch from a Starter Egg, with the other being the Cat. Either pet can be obtained for free when a player starts the game. The Dog can also be obtained through hatching a Pet Egg (
600), a Cracked Egg ( 350) or through trading.
Appearance
The Dog has a beige fur base, black eyes, a black nose, a short mauve tongue poking out, and a stubby tail. Like all pets, the Dog has small, semi-circle feet that appear to float underneath its body.

Here are the tricks the Dog learns in order:
- Newborn - Sit
- Junior - Lay Down
- Pre-Teen - Bounce
- Teen - Roll Over
- Post-Teen - Backflip
- Full Grown - Dance
Neon Appearance
The Neon version of the Dog glows highlighted light blue on its ears, tail, and paws while the other parts stay the same.
Mega Neon Appearance
The Mega Neon version of a Dog cycles through each color of the rainbow for about two seconds before alternating to the next. It glows on its ears, tail and paws, the same places as the Neon Dog.
Trivia
- The Dog uses the same model as the Blue Dog.
- It is one of the first common Pets in Adopt Me!, along with the Cat and Buffalo.
- The Dog has five reskins; the Chocolate Labrador, Australian Kelpie, Dalmatian, Shiba Inu, and the Blue Dog.
- The pet accessories in the Hat Shop are displayed on a Dog.
