Hello Wiki users, I hope all of you are having a wonderful and cheerful day.
This announcement is regarding what is considered to be plagiarism and how to protect yourself from getting scammed.
---------------------
PROTECTING YOURSELF FROM GETTING SCAMMED
To protect themselves from being scammed, users must include a clearly visible watermark on their drawing. The watermark should ONLY be removed from the drawing if the user wins the said "Art Contest".
If a user takes your entry from an Art Competition and uses it without crediting you, please inform an Administrator immediately.
---------------------
ART THEFT OR PLAGIARISM IS STRICTLY PROHIBITED
Taking credit for art that the user did not draw themselves into is strictly prohibited. Plagiarism is defined as taking someoneโs ideas/art outright and claiming it as theirs with no credit to the original artist.
Example: Taking a drawing from the internet and claiming it as their own.
Users that plagiarize Art will be blocked for 1 month.
---------------------
REGARDING TRACING - USERS MUST CREDIT THE ORIGINAL ARTIST.
If users trace or heavily base their art off an image that is not theirs, they are required to credit who/where they referenced it from. Not crediting the original artist is a punishable offense.
Users must give credit to artists in the following format: Title of drawing made by Artist.
Example: Th3Y3ll0wL3m0n's Portrait made by Vastmine1029.
Users that trace a drawing and do not credit the original artist will be blocked for 1 week.
---------------------
The Wiki Administration Team hopes that these new rules will prevent new artists from getting scammed!
Please do not feel down if you do not win an Art Competition, everyone has the potential to do something, and we believe you do too!
Thank you,
The Wiki Administration Team.
